They resemble the Seychelles or the Bahamas and the truth is that they resemble Caribbean islands! They are Lichadonissia, the seven verdant islands with the endless blue and the turquoise waters, a breath from Lichada of Evia and opposite Kamena Vourla. Lichadonissia is located on the northwest side of Evia, between Maliakos and the Northern Evian Gulf, in the extension of the ancient cape Kinaio, opposite the settlement of Kavos. The complex of these islands was created by a volcanic energy and is a single volcanic formation. Before the tectonic subsidence of the Gulf of Malia, the Lichadonissia were connected to the Lichada peninsula. Large parts of the islands were sunk by a great earthquake in 426 BC.
The largest island of the complex is called Manolia, it is green and there is a large beach with turquoise waters and a well organized beach bar. In the west of the island, in a series of dry lands, you can see the shipwreck. It can be seen without diving equipment, as it is stranded at a depth of just 6 meters and is really impressive. The island of Manolia is elongated and has a small cove that serves as a natural port. Lichadonissia is ideal for spearfishing, diving and water sports (skiing, surfing). One of the most pleasant surprises in the area is the presence of a cute family of seals, who for some years have chosen Lichadonissia as their permanent home. Their appearances are frequent during the day and their poses for skilled photographers are particularly impressive.
